How long have you been in business?
We have been in Duluth since 2003 and have had a studios in Metro-Atlanta since 1993
What is your primary product or service?
Ballroom and Latin Dance Lessons for beginners all the way to competitive students.
We also offer numerous social events throughout the year.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I am Kristine Knipp and I started in the business in the late 80's. I have been a top teacher, award winning dancer, top manager and now owner and staff trainer. I currently own 2 locations with a highly skilled group of instructors who are award winners themselves.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a full service dance studio. All my staff are full time and work as a team to help you reach your dancing goals and dreams. We have training and coaching from world champion dancers and top teachers. Beginners are always welcome and become good dancers very quickly. Yet, we also have hobby dancers who successfully participate in competitions and show dancers like you see on "Dancing with the Stars"
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 2 locations - Duluth and downtown Atlanta. We are always looking for opportunities to expand.
Provide detailed directions to your location
In Duluth we are near the corner of Peachtree Industrial and Abbotts Bridge Rd. in the Oaks Shopping Center. Our spacious studio is located in the second building.
The downtown studio is at the King Plow Arts Center on West Marietta Street.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover, and debit cards.
Which areas do you service?
At our North Studio we have students from Duluth, Alpharetta, Roswell, Suwanee, Norcross, Doraville, Laurenceville, Stone Mountain, Cumming, and Forsyth.
At the Downtown Studio students find us from Buckhead, Midtown, Downtown, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Stone Mountain, Conyers, Decatur, and even Peachtree City and further west and south.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Kristine Knipp is the Director of BDC and manages the Duluth Studio along with the Dance Director Pierre Bush.
The downtown studio is managed by Christjohn Batters.
What are your hours of operation?
Our normal hours are 2pm to 10 pm Monday - Friday
At our Duluth locations we have mornings available and
Saturday is available in each studios upon request and schedule.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliment a student can pay us is that they are accomplishing things in their dancing they never imagined was possible and are receiving the benefits they had hoped to achieve - weight loss, new friends, relief from stress, and a reconnection with a loved one to name a few.
